Rentals and Reservations
Many of the City's facilities, public spaces, and equipment – from theater to meeting spaces and canoe racks to garden plots - are available to the public for rental. We also offer group reservation rates at our aquatics facilities.
Baseball, football, softball, volleyball, soccer fields; ice rinks; tennis courts.

- 4 Bike lockers are available for rent at the southwest corner of Old Shakopee Road and Bloomington Ferry Road
- $65.00 fee per consecutive 12 month period or $11.00 per month with a minimum rental of 3 consecutive months
- Additional $40.00 key deposit is required
- Rentals begin on the 1st day of the calendar month
- Lockers may only be used to store one bicycle and related equipment (helmet, pump, lock, etc.)
- Bicycles may not exceed 69” in length, 29” inches in width and 48” in height.
- Adjacent to Hyland Trail (off-road paved trail) that leads to the Bloomington Ferry Road Trailhead to the south and Countryside Park, Hyland Lake Park Reserve, Bush Lake Park and Normandale Lake Park as well as to Eden Prairie (via Pioneer Trail, Bloomington Ferry Road and Marth Road) to the north.

As of December 2021, the City of Bloomington has canceled all existing and future rentals at the Blooming Armory.
Bloomington Center for the Arts offers many different spaces for many types and sizes of events, meetings, performances, and other gatherings. Photos below are for illustration purposes only. Many spaces offer multiple configurations.

Schneider Theater
The Schneider Theater is ideal for performances, concerts, ceremonies, meetings, conferences, and rehearsals.

Black Box Theater
This multi-purpose space is perfect for performances, presentations, business and community meetings and more.

Rehearsal Hall
The Rehearsal Hall is a wonderful location for rehearsals, meetings, seminars, or small receptions.

Children’s, Drawing, Craft and Painting Studio
- Sink and countertop space and tile floor

- Only available during weekend hours and limited evening hours.

Additional Information
- Rental time must include set up and tear down.
- A food/beverage license is required if food will be served to the public.
- Alcohol is not allowed in the Center for the Arts. A liquor caterer must be approved by City Council and additional fees will apply.
- All rentals must pay a separate damage deposit, which will be refunded after the event.
Fees and Forms
Bloomington Family Aquatic Center can accommodate group reservations of 20 or more.
Private pool rentals are also possible, typically 7 - 9 p.m. daily.

Multi-Purpose Room
- Size: 55' x 22'
- Capacity – 50-65 w/tables and chairs (we have both rectangular and round tables)
- 75-85 - Chairs only
- 100 – no tables or chairs
- Room amenities: Hardwood floors, exterior view, roller shades, pull down projector screen and portable projector (additional charge)
Rink 1 Meeting Room
- Size 14x22
- Conference room table for 10-12 people
- Space for additional seating (not at table) also available
General Information
- Room rental rates: $20-35/hour
- Hours: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m. (may vary throughout the year)
- Concessions: Available through Arena Concession Stand
- Projector: Available for rental from $50/hour
- Half- and full-iday rates available
Additional Spaces
Several public spaces at BIG may also be reserved for events. Availability depends on event/activity schedule at the arena.

As of 2021, group reservations will no longer be accepted.
Are you tired of hauling your canoe, kayak or SUP to and from Bush Lake every day? If so, rent one of 96 canoe racks located on the west side of Bush Lake, conveniently adjacent to picnic shelters, tables and playgrounds.
- Rental Fees per season (May 1 - October 31)
- Bloomington residents - $90
- Nonresidents - $110
- Eight (8) accessible racks available to people with qualifying conditions.
- Racks can be used for paddleboards or sailboards if both ends can be secured to the rack.
- Two watercraft may be mounted if both can be secured within the confines of the rack.
- Watercraft must be no more than 20 feet long, 26 inches wide and 20 inches deep.

Bloomington Parks and Recreation has a total of 210 garden plots available to rent. There are four Community Garden sites in Bloomington:
- Brookside - on the west side of Xerxes, just north of 102nd Street
- Smith Park - on the east side of Park Avenue between 82nd and 83rd streets
- Harrison Park - 1701 W. 100th Street
- South Loop - on the east side of E Old Shakopee Rd, just south of E 86th St

2024 Bandshell reservations now open! Call Parks and Recreation at 952-563-8693.
Reservation requests for 2024 will be accepted online and in person starting on January 2, 2024 at 9 a.m.
Park shelters are open from April 15 through October 15. Rent a shelter for family gatherings, company picnics, group events, banquets, wedding receptions, class reunions, meetings and more!
Shelters at Moir Park and Bush Lake have electricity, grills, restrooms, drinking fountains, playground equipment, walking trails, and softball fields. There is a disc golf course at Moir Park, and fishing docks at Bush Lake Park. Both parks are accessible.

Reservation information
Reservation requests for 2024 will be accepted starting on January 2, 2024 at 9 a.m.
There are two ways to submit your request:
- Online at blm.mn/webtrac
- Complete the 2024 Park Shelter Reservation Form. Submit your form and payment using one of the options below.
- Deliver in person to the Parks and Recreation service desk at Bloomington Civic Plaza.
- Mail to Parks and Recreation, 1800 W Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN 55431
- Fax to 952-563-8715
- Email to parksrec@bloomingtonmn.gov. Parks and Recreation staff will call you for credit card payment.

General regulations for shelters
What is not allowed?
- Glass bottles or containers
- Use of tobacco products
Do I need additional licenses or permits?
- To sell food or drinks to the public, you need a food/beverage license.
- You do not need a license if you only serve your invited guests.
- To have pony rides, stages, inflatables, dunk tanks, and tents you need a Temporary Conditional Use Permit.
- These aerial views may help you in the placement of your inflatable.
- Permit prices range from $50-$200.
- To have amplified sound, you may need a license and must comply with the City's noise restrictions.
- Complete Public Entertainment License Application and submit it to Business Licensing.
- Indicate "Public Assembly" under "Type of license".
- A license is not required for personal electronic devices.
