When you RSVP, you will reserve three 40-pound bags of compost and a 1 hour time slot. Come any time during your hour to receive your compost.
New this year, only curbside and drop-off organics recycling participants are eligible to receive free compost.

About the Compost Giveaway
The compost giveaway, funded through a Hennepin County grant, is an annual event intended to encourage participation in organics recycling that begins and ends with residents. How does it work?
Food scraps and other compostable items are collected from participating residents through the City’s organics recycling program,
Organics are processed into compost at SMSC Organics Recycling Facility, and
Nutrient-rich compost is returned to participating residents.
