Project updatesNormandale Lake Trails projectThe updates listed below refer to Normandale Lake Trails project. To find updates regarding other projects, go to major road construction projects. May 2012May 18, 20122012-401 Normandale Lake Trails Improvement ProjectThe first phase of reconstruction will continue the week of May 21 which includes the closure of the trails from the parking lot on Chalet Rd around the north side of the lake to the trail entrance at W 84th Street/Normandale Blvd. This also includes the closure of the parking lot off of W 84th St. Clearing of trees in the Phase 1 area is complete. Trail removals in the Phase 1 area are anticipated to complete the week of May 21. Subgrade correction and Class 5 placement has started and will continue the week of May 21. Retaining wall replacement on the pedestrian trail within the Phase 1 area is anticipated to begin the week of May 21. May 11, 20122012-401 Normandale Lake Trails Improvement ProjectClearing of trees in the Phase 1 area will begin on May 11 along with fence removal in preparation for trail removals. Trail removals are scheduled to begin on May 14, therefore the Phase 1 area will be left open for trail users to access over the weekend and will close on May 14. Trail removals and subgrade correction will begin on the NE side of the lake and work will proceed towards the west with Class 5 placement to begin later in the week of May 14. The first phase of this reconstruction will include the closure of the trails from the parking lot on Chalet Rd around the north side of the lake to the trail entrance at W 84th Street/Normandale Blvd. This will also involve the closure of the parking lot off of W 84th St. This closure will last approximately 1 month. May 4, 20122012-401 Normandale Lake Trails Improvement ProjectA pre-construction conference was held on April 30. Construction is set to start on Wed, May 9 with clearing and grubbing of trees in the area. The first phase of this reconstruction will include the closure of the trails from the parking lot on Chalet Rd around the north side of the lake to the trail entrance at W 84th Street/Normandale Blvd. This will also involve the closure of the parking lot off of W 84th St. This closure will last approximately 1 month. May 3, 20122012-401 Normandale Lake Trails Improvement ProjectTrail Reconstruction around Normandale Lake is set to begin on May 9. The first phase of this reconstruction will include the closure of the trails from the parking lot on Chalet Rd around the north side of the lake to the trail entrance at W 84th Street/Normandale Blvd. This will also involve the closure of the parking lot off of W 84th St. This closure will last approximately 1 month. Please pay attention and follow construction signs in the area during this work. April 2012April 27, 20122012-401 Normandale Lake Trails Improvement ProjectA pre-construction conference is scheduled for April 30. Construction is anticipated to start the week of May 7. April 20, 20122012-401 Normandale Lake Trails Improvement ProjectA pre-construction conference is scheduled for Monday, April 30. December 2011December 16, 20112012-401 Normandale Lake Trail Maintenance ProjectAn Open House regarding the Normandale Lake Trail Maintenance Project was held on Tuesday, December 13 between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm in the Richardson Nature Center (Cattail Room). There were 12 properties represented at the open house.
