Community input

The strategic planning process was designed to ensure that residents and businesses had an opportunity to shape the future of Bloomington. Community involvement was important during the entire process.

In 2006 and 2007, the City received public input through:

Town meeting.
An on-line survey.
Focus groups.
Open houses.
City's Board and Commissions.

Community input was a great help

Community feedback helped to define the City's strategy for redevelopment, services, infrastructure, sustainability and fiscal strength and stability for the next five to 15 years. The strategic plan addresses how the City will meet future challenges including an aging population, changing housing needs and traffic congestion.
